Sports have always been one of my favorite environments to shoot in, but this year, I’ve been shooting them fairly non-stop.
The thing I find so refreshing about sports photos is how natural they are. There’s no posing involved. There’s no telling anyone to smile, all you have to do, is capture what’s going on in front of you. It’s sometimes nice to take a back seat and just shoot, with no direction involved.
Sports are a hectic environment to work in, but I know exactly where to position to get the moneymaker shots… and how to not get hit in the face by a ball while doing so.
